PRT Sampling System

The PRT system is used for grab sampling of soil gas.

PRT (Post-Run Tubing) Sampling: The Tools You'll Need

1. PRT Tubing Adapters: Select the adapter for your tubing size. This adapter is inserted down the rod after it has been driven to depth.

2. Standard Probe Rods: 1.0 in., 1.25 in., or 1.5 in.

3. PRT Point Holders and Points: A number of points and holders are available to suit your application.

Assembled Implant

Stainless steel implants are used to make permanent emplacements for soil gas sampling.
Showing the soil gas sampling procedure.
Tom Christy, Geoprobe® Vice President, leads a soil gas sampling workshop for Geoprobe® staff. To better show the soil gas sampling procedure, Tom used a PVC sample liner to demonstrate sampling techniques. A portable vacuum/volume pump was used to sample soil gas from an implant installed in the cylinder.
