Making an Impact: Kenya
Dustin Fross, on his first missions trip, went to Mt. Kenya Children’s Home early in 2006 to continue the work his dad started several years ago. Dustin was there to help with construction projects at the orphanage, and to also leave his Dad’s ashes (Steve Fross, Geoprobe® Facilities Manager) on the mountain, a place Steve loved dearly after his first visit there. Dustin, who was called “Carlito” (a popular professional wrestler) by the area children, also cut his hair while
there, which drew quite a crowd of onlookers (lower right) and donated it to “Locks of Love”, a charity that makes wigs for people with cancer. “I feel fortunate that I was able to go back to a place my Dad loved so much.”
