| Logical Environmental Solutions in New London, CT, mounted their 540UD on a utility cart and can easily pull it from site-to-site. |
It’s a machine that’s been around for awhile, but the Geoprobe® Model 540UD has found a niche in the direct push market, and continues to satisfy customers who want an easy-to-transport machine for shallow sampling. Because the machine is compact and has it’s own power source, there seem to be endless possibilities as to what carrier vehicle the unit can be mounted on.
Powered by a 22 Hp, liquid-cooled Kubota industrial engine, the unit can work a full day under normal conditions on one tank of fuel.
The machine is self-loading/unloading from carrier vehicles using detachable legs, and it easily attaches to different carrier vehicles with just three bolts. Its compact size when folded (47 in. wide x 40 in. high x 91 in. long) makes it easy to store, or to ship outside the U.S.

| The U.S. Geological Survey uses a 540UD to install piezometers at a groundwater surface water interface at a contaminated site. |
Equipped with the Geoprobe® GH42 Hammer, the 540UD is compatible with most Geoprobe® tooling and logging equipment. |
