Disposable Bladders
for the Mechanical Bladder Pump

Disposable polyethylene bladders are now available for the Mechanical Bladder Pump (MBP). The disposable bladders are sold in packs of ten (34144) and include an instruction bulletin on their use with the MBP. The bladders are also available in Teflon®. If site requirements allow the use of the disposable bladder, the cost savings is significant over the Teflon® bladder (a package of ten disposable bladders is approximately the same as one Teflon® bladder).

pump flow curves
Two flow curves for the MB470 Mechanical Bladder Pump (MBP). The curve on the right is for the pump when the intake is at 60-feet below grade. The curve at the left is when the pump intake is set at 100-feet below grade. The flow tests were performed using the polyethylene bladder and the polypropylene inner tube. The dashed lines indicate how to determine the expected flow rate for a given water level and pump depth.
